Love is in the Air

Love is in the Air. Valentine is coming and that means time to make some more gold to fall in love with!
You might have noticed already that this patch came with a new item: Lovely Charm Bracelet.
This obtain can be obtained by killing any mob that gives xp normally. You can obtain this Bracelet's if you have a Lovely Charm Collector's Kit wich can be obtained for the Peddlefeet-like npc's in every capital city.
If you have the Kit you don't need to loot the mobs to obtain the bracelets, just by simple killing they will appear in your inventory. The reason people want this Bracelet is because you can turn them in for Love Tokens wich you need for the Achievements.
Some tips on grinding getting those:
Good luck with farming and hope u can cash in some coins!

Make use of macro's.

One of the best things of World of Warcraft are the macro's in the game.
They are usefull for Prospecting, Disenchanting, accepting things for Auctioneer but also for reloading the UI.
Here are some examples wich you can use:

Prospecting:
/cast prospecting
/use Saronite Ore
/use Titanium Ore
Disenchanting:
/cast disenchant
/use Simple Opal Ring
/use "item name here"
Milling:
/use milling
/use lichbloom
/use adder's tongue
/use icethorn
Auctioneer (accept the confirm message)
/run if (AucAdvancedBuyPromptYes) then AucAdvancedBuyPromptYes:Click() end
Reload the UI (usefull if you have more then 50 mails waiting)
/reload ui
You can fill in the macro's at ESC > Macro
Put them at your action bar and make your daily routines alot easier!

Rerolling Alliance? Get some starting money

If you reroll one of the first things you need is bags, and bags cost money.

This specific post assumes you are an human of any class. What you want to do is pick up Skinning here at Helene Peltskinner and don't forgot to buy a skinning knife.
If you have played Alliance before the Stonefield Farm shouldn't be an new name for you. This map shows the place I mean:

The mobs that are there are Stonetusk Boar's wich have a 75% of dropping a Chunk of Boar Meat wich often sells for 3-10g per stack on the Auction House. Combining this with skinning this should yield you an unbelievable amount of gold for a ~ level 5-10 character. Don't forgot to buy some 16 slotters for the money, because bag space = gold.

Pristine Black Diamond

Sorry for not posting in two days, real life was very busy, but here I am with an item wich is out for some time and know really worth alot.

Pristine Black Diamond I am talking about. This item is needed for the achievement Insane in the Membrane.
The worth on most servers is around 300g, but I've even bought them for 1g - 100g and sold up to 600g.
So really add this item to your Auctioneer Snatch List or Auctionator Buy List and watch it daily, every under the 100g should be bought right away!

What if the ICC is done and Cataclysm is coming?

It won't take extremely long or Icecrow Citadel will be done and the Lich King will be killed. When the last wing opens there will be a rush for all kinds of raid supplies, Flasks, Gems and enchants, demand will exceed supply on alot of servers. But what when the rush on all that is gone? Will the prices go down or will they keep steady because people want to level their alts to ICC gear too? My guess would be that prices would slowly go down till they reach a down point when Cataclysm release date is announced.

When Cataclysm finally hits I suggest you to sell all the new cloth (like Frostweave in WotLK) and try to save as much herbs and ores as u can. If you are on a high progressed server there soon will be a rush to all the raid supplies. I remember the beginning of WotLK when I bought Frost Lotus for 5g each, they are worth 60g now. Same goes for the new Titanium Ore. Raw mats for raid stuff will be cheap in the beginning and will slowly go up and cloth and meat etc will slowly go down like it was with WotLK. This is what I think atleast

What is the right price?

Lot's of people wonder this when they start playing on the Auction House.
Shortest way to tell this is this: The price at wich you can afford making profit on the item.
Let's take a deeper look into that. For example let's take Glyphs. You are an smart Auctioneer and you buy your raw mats always very cheap, resulting into a total cost of 1,5g per Glyph to make, yet glyphs vary from 5-100g each. Your profit might be higher if you post at 50g but the volume you sell most likely will be lower.
My personal favorite method will be a deep undercut in such a case. We saw the costs are 1,5g, in this case I would post 1 or 2 glyphs of each for around 5g each. This way your competition might think you are just a noob who just wanted a quick sale and the will buy you out to get the price back up to 50g or even 100g. You just made 6g on your two glyphs, but there are over 300 glyphs, that's 1800g profit by just looking dumb (and yes, these situations really happen). If you do this daily, keeping the price low your competion will most likely will give up wich will give u a lone right to sell, keeping the price so low will people make your stuff buy earlier because a respec will be alot cheaper and since you have no competitors or only few you will also sell in a larger volume. This method is hated by alot of people, that's why you should have a bank alt to do this ;)
Also make sure u have a minimum margin, like for example 20g on Epic Gems or maybe 3g per Glyph, know the prices of your raw mats and go get rich.

Get the maximum out of your profession

An important factor to get the maximum amount of gold is to get the maximum amount out of your professions.
Professions often have little niches wich still can yield alot of gold.
Here's a quick summary:
  • Alchemy
First thing you think about will be Flasks. Ever considered to transmute Primal Might, Titanium or Arcanite Bar?
  • Blacksmithing
You won't need the iLvl 264 patterns to get some money out of this. Hot sellers are Eternal Belt Buckle or Titanium Chains
  • Enchanting
Prices of Infinite Dust or Greater Cosmic Essence very low on your server? Try to get some Arcane Dust, this guide might help you find stuff to DE: Click here
Also making scrolls is a good idea
  • Inscription
Too much AH campers and can't sell any glyphs? Try making Runescroll of Fortitude or Vellums
  • Jewelcrafting
Alot of undercutters taking epic gems to a low level? Try green or blue gems, often abonden markets or low populated markets with still a high demand. Also read my Guaranteed money with Jewelcrafting post
  • Leatherworking
No need for the high level patterns. Leg armors or making green stuff for disenchant will be a good idea
  • Tailoring
Also no need for the high level patterns. Netherweave bag sell like hot cakes. Try to buy out all Netherweave Cloth for a X amount of gold so your competition will have a hard time making bags as cheap as you will do.
  • Mining
You won't always need to farm. Saronite Ore is often dumped cheap on the Auction House by Chinese farmers, consider smelten it to bars and maybe make Eternal Belt Buckles of it
