Rerolling Alliance? Get some starting money

If you reroll one of the first things you need is bags, and bags cost money.

This specific post assumes you are an human of any class. What you want to do is pick up Skinning here at Helene Peltskinner and don't forgot to buy a skinning knife.
If you have played Alliance before the Stonefield Farm shouldn't be an new name for you. This map shows the place I mean:

The mobs that are there are Stonetusk Boar's wich have a 75% of dropping a Chunk of Boar Meat wich often sells for 3-10g per stack on the Auction House. Combining this with skinning this should yield you an unbelievable amount of gold for a ~ level 5-10 character. Don't forgot to buy some 16 slotters for the money, because bag space = gold.

Gearscore, yes or no?

A total different post today, Gearscore. Most likely know to you all, heard in /2 whole day long.
Personally I hate Gearscore, the only thing the gearscore addon does is making a sum of your item levels. This means that people with high item level healing and dps gear would be earlier invited because their gearscore is higher than a normal player with average gear and knows how to play.
Also the Gearscore addon does not calculate gems and enchants. So if you have Ulduar 25 gear completely enchanted and gemmed you won't get into a ICC 10 group
My way of people that ask for Gearscore is like this: LFM ICC10, you must have done it before and already have all the drops so we can disenchant to epics.
What wonders me is the people that ask for Gearscore and stats. Why would you ask for stats if there gearscore is 5400?

My favorite addon for Gear is the Elitist Group Addon. This addon also calculates gems and enchants and sees if the gear is right for your spec, so no healers with tanking gear wich you have a chance of getting in your Gearscore group.

What are your thoughts on Gearscore?

Have more than one character.

One of the most important things to make an enormous amount of gold on World of Warcraft is to have more then one character. You can only take two professions per character means you can only expand in two markets. If you have various character means you can do various professions daily's.
Let's take Jewelcrafting and Alchemy. If you have 5 level 65+ characters with all Jewelcrafting/Alchemy you could do the following:
  • 5x Icy prism = 5x chance on epic gem
  • 5x Daily Dragon Eye = 500g per day
  • 5x Epic gem transmute = 750g per day without the proc. If you have 1 Elixir Master and rest Transmute you could even make more gems per day. I take 150g per epic gem, but with your Jewelcrafter you could make gems that would probably sell for 200g each that would be 1000g per day doing almost nothing.
This is an guaranteed 1500g per day wich is 10,500g per week only spending 30 minutes per day. That's an average of 2300g per hour!

I don't really recommend taking only Alchemy and Jewelcrafting but try to split all crafting and gathering professions between your alts so you can compete in any market.
